Winther Stave & Co., LLP is a full-service accounting firm with offices in Spencer, IA and Milford, IA dedicated to providing our clients with professional, personalized services, and guidance in a wide range of accounting, tax, and business advisory services. ADMINSTRATIVE ASSISTANT POSITIONS 

We have positions available for an experienced full time and part time administrative assistant.   Applicants should have an AA in Business with 4 plus years of experience.  Compensation commensurate with experience.

Duties include, but are not limited to:  answer and direct phone calls, organize and schedule appointments, write and distribute emails, correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms, assist in report preparation, ordering of office forms and supplies, make service calls for equipment, maintain a filing system, maintain contact lists, greet and provide general support to visitors and clients, act as the point of contact for clients and staff, keep Firm Library and CPE Library up to date, maintain CPE records for accountants, assemble tax returns.

Requirements for this position include: excellent written and oral communication skills and strong interpersonal skills, above average knowledge of office systems and procedures, working knowledge of office equipment (printers, fax machines and postage machines), above average proficiency in MS Office (Excel and Word, in particular), excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work, extreme attention to detail and problem-solving skills, strong organization skills with the ability to multi-task, notary or the ability to obtain within 6 months of employment, able to work extended hours during the months of January through April.
