Arvin graduated from Dordt College, Sioux Center, Iowa in 1983 with a B.A. in Business Administration and an Accounting emphasis. After four years in the banking industry, Arvin joined Winther, Stave & Co., LLP in 1987, the same year he became a CPA. Following two years as Chief Financial Officer of a manufacturing company, Arvin rejoined the firm in 1993 and became a partner of the firm in 2011. Arvin provides accounting, auditing, tax, and consulting services for small businesses, financial institutions, non-profit organizations, and governmental entities, including engagements subject to the Single Audit and OMB Circular A-133. Arvin is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Iowa Society of Certified Public Accountants. He serves on the Board of Directors of ATLAS of Spencer and in various leadership capacities for Hope Church in Spencer. Arvin and his wife, Kathy, live in Spencer and have two grown children.
