Jeff is a 1986 graduate of the University of Iowa with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. He obtained his CPA certificate and license in 1988 and obtained his CVA (Certified Valuation Analyst) designation in 2000. After working in the banking industry, Jeff joined Winther, Stave & Co., LLP in 1983 and became a partner of the firm in 1990. He spends his time between both our Spencer and Milford locations and provides audit, tax, accounting, and consulting services to a wide variety of clients. He has worked extensively with physician and dental practices, financial institutions as well as farmers and high-income taxpayers. As a certified valuation analyst, Jeff also has extensive experience providing litigation support and business valuations. Jeff is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Iowa Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Nebraska Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts. Jeff has served as a Board Elder in his church, graduated Leadership Spencer, and is a past member of the Hy-Noon Kiwanis and the Spencer Jaycees. Jeff and his wife Roxanne live in Spencer and have three children.
